Installing 1C on Mac OS is another quest. I recently installed the basic 1C with tambourines, so I'll share it.
There are no problems with the platform - the dmg disk image with the platform distribution kit can be easily downloaded from the technical support site, but with the configuration installation everything is a little more complicated.
Theoretically, some confs already include an installer for Mac in the form of setup.app, but the wise guys from 1C publish distributions on their server in the form of a self-extracting archive in the [facepalm] exe file.
Therefore, you will need a machine with Windows in any case. If the conf distribution contains setup.app, then you can only unpack the archive, copy the ENTIRE folder with the distribution on the Mac and run the installation on it. If there is no setup.app, then install the configuration template on a Windows computer and copy the folder with the template from tmplts. Next, we create the base from the template already on the Mac in the standard way.
Another nuance - if 1C is the basic version, then you need to create an IB from a template and get a basic license under the rights of a superuser, otherwise 1C starts asking for a 15-digit pin at startup, as for the Pro version.

1. Starting from May 2021, 1C began publishing configuration distributions as a zip archive, not an exe, i.e. now the configuration can be downloaded and installed on a Mac without a Windows machine.
2. But on new Macs with an M1 chip, it makes no sense to install the base, because. it is not yet possible to activate a 1C software license on a Mac with M1! You can install a 1C client on a Mac, but it can only receive a license from the server, i.e. the database must be either on a 1C server (client-server), or published on a web server, or in the cloud.
