How to insert wifi driver from old ubuntu 18.04 kernel into newer ubuntu 20.04 kernel?
Hello!
The WiFi adapter on the mt7610u chip works in Ubuntu 18.04 with a 4.19 kernel, but does not work in Ubuntu 20.04 with kernels 5.4 and higher up to 5.13, did not check further.
The problem seems to me to be the driver version. The 18.04 kernel uses the mt76x0 1-9:1.0 160.8 kB (160,753 bytes) driver, while Ubuntu 20.04 kernels from 5.4 onwards use the mt76x0u 2-3:1.0 24.7 kB (24,657 bytes) driver.
In the mediatek Ubuntu 20.04 driver set, there is no mt76x0 driver at all.
Question: how to insert the mt76x0 driver into kernel 5.4 or newer?
Googled it, but haven't found anything useful yet.
Help, pliz!

strange, but the file with the name mt76x0 does not come across in bionics.
