How to insert 3d object into html page?

Actually a question.
There is a 3d object in a VRML 2.0 (*.wrl) file, how can I show it to site visitors?
Are there ways?
They say VRML is no longer used? And then what? maybe you need to convert the VRML file to some other format?

If this is not critical, then you can simply render the animation of the object being inserted into the image and use js to control the rotation. For example like here www.webrotate360.com/360-product-viewer.html
