move heavy folders from the / partition to a partition with a lot of space, and instead of the original folders, insert a symlink pointing to the moved one. Programs do not distinguish redirection.
option 2: install ncdu. run sudo ncdu -x /
and see what is polluting the system partition (classically it would be /var/log %) ).
in the same place, in the program, you can delete heavy files, but only with the mind you can shoot off your leg under sudo very quickly.
Two options - either change the partition sizes as advised above, or simply move large files/directories from "/" to "/home".
I am for the second option - it is safer and easier.
There is another option. Maybe not the best, but the simplest and fastest is the link. You make a directory in / home and in / a link to it - logically it will be in / and physically in / home
Well, you can also add a disk that you mount to /
