How to increase ethernet distance?
Good afternoon!
There is a video surveillance system that uses D-Link DGS-1026MP switches. It is necessary to include a PC in this network, which is located at a distance of ~ 130m from the switch. As I understand it, you can use simple ethernet extenders, then there will be no problems with a long distance?

Is 130 meters a distance or cable length?
If the cable length then it will definitely work on a cable of category 6 at a speed of 100 Mbps, on Gbps - with a high probability too. Works for me.
Optics to help you, if indoors, you can stretch out with switches, but this is a perversion.
100mb with a good COPPER cable should work. 1gb questionable.
Alternatively, a wifi bridge. If line of sight.
