How to increase battery life in linux?

I have a surface pro 2, in the top ten the battery runs 6 hours of video, in Linux a maximum of 3 hours. Of all the distros, only deepin more or less showed autonomy, I thought it was the battery, I returned Windu for the test, the same 6 hours. Now I use manjaro i3, maybe there is some software in aur or somewhere else for normal power management? Or some tweaks? Why is there such a big difference in autonomy between Linux distros and Windows?

Well, what did you want? But it's free.
Poor ACPI support and very poor power savings.
Yes, Google cpufreq, this will allow you to lower the processor frequency and gain a little time, but still the same ERP is not supported by Linux. I don’t know if you have an HDD there, you can use sdparm to turn on the spindle stop after a while and unscrew AAM to a minimum.

I don't know about Manjaro, but Ububntu seems to have a power saving mode. But I would recommend reducing the processor speed and dimming the screen brightness. And I myself would close my eyes to this, and would remain on Linux)
