How to implement the ability to add users through TERMINAL on StrongSwan?
Good evening.
How to implement the ability to add a user through the terminal?
I set up a server for myself and friends, but manually adding a user, you know - not so hot.
I manually add users, or rather write them to a file /etc/ipsec.secrets
. StrongSwan documentation mentions this, but how to configure this option and how to use it, alas, is not there.
I use IPsec, StrongSwan.
Thanks in advance!

Well, at least the following should work:
As a rule, now strongswan is installed from repositories with legacy systemd support - then the service is called strongswan . I work with him in this configuration.
Updated my knowledge: using ipsec.secrets gives the first option: you use the ipsec starter method for strongswan and, judging by the documentation, there is no other way to add a user to ipsec.secrets on the command line : https://wiki.strongswan.org/projects/strongswan/wi...
Alternatively, reconfigure to use swanctl and the swanctl.conf config file

I won’t tell you
the process of moving - I myself use legacy ipsec starter: D
