How to implement multiple moving markers in Google Maps SDK iOS?

Good afternoon.
On duty, it is necessary to write an application in something similar to all known Yandex-Taxi and GetTaxi. It is planned to use the Google Maps SDK. The catch was the display of moving cars nearby. I have no idea which way to dig. Car positions should be loaded from the server, but how can I make them move between requests? And how often do these requests?
I would be grateful for any help :)

Thanks for the quick response. I myself managed to find something, or rather, how to move the marker along the given GMSPath. Another thing is that the cars must move on the roads. Who better to calculate the coordinates for the path, the server or already on the device?
