How to implement bem components in webpack?

I think how to collect projects for return to back. I know about the existence of tars, but in 2020 I’m not sure what is needed to use it, as I understand it, it has been in the grave for 2 years already.

I found a template in webpack for layout for backing, I think to connect pug, scss, ts and create an architecture exactly like in tars. I just don’t understand how js works there, how it communicates with the component and interacts with others.

Here are the questions:
1) Is it worth using tars or is there something more modern than it?
2) How to connect html with js in a component, and to carry out interaction from one component with others?

1. Not everything that has been written for a long time is outdated.
2. To know the relevance, it is enough, MAGIC, to look into the history of the project .
2.1. If you don’t understand bourgeois, you get a translator.
3. To understand how the tool works, poke around in raw materials.
4. What is not clear, google it or look in the language API method references, JS in this case.

Xs what is tars. But you sound like

I don't want to use the tool because I think it's outdated. That's why I'll make mine the same

IMHO, if you need a landing page or a small project, then it makes no sense to break it into components in terms of js. If a project really needs a lot of js, then it's better to take a framework
