How to implement batch adding a plate at the bottom of the image?

I have a task: to add to the set of images of different sizes a plate (stretched along the width of the image) at the bottom, which would not cover the image, but be added to it, thereby increasing its size by its own width. How to do it automatically?
PS The action crops the photos to the size of the source and adds a plate of the sizes specified on the source, and I need to stretch the plate (relatively) to the width of each image.
PSS Googled the whole google

If you have MacOs, then you can try writing a script in Apple script.
At one time, in this way they automated the creation of template business cards in the company.
They sent me a completed Excel spreadsheet, and I just opened it and ran the script.
Further, opening the illustrator, choosing a Russian or English template, inserting data, saving and sending it to e-mail for approval took place without my intervention, I just looked at the magic :)
By the way, Photoshop has its own scripting language, but in this direction I still did not dig.
