There is a page with a "catalog" component and a search for "catalog.search" in the popup at the top of the page. When you click on the "Find" button, the directory remains untouched, and the search results are displayed in a pop-up window directly below the search component. How to properly implement a search so that its results affect the main catalog component?

In order to implement it correctly, you need to understand how catalog.search works - the entered search query is sent to the search module, and an array of IDs of infoblock elements (products) is returned from it, which is already fed to the catalog.section component (without s !).
