How to hide empty categories of the categories widget, the output goes through the_widget?

Good afternoon, I display product categories using

the_widget( 'WC_Widget_Product_Categories',  $instance, $args  );

All categories are displayed, I would like to hide empty ones without products,
the name attribute with hidden categories widget-woocommerce_product_categories[17][hide_empty]
