How to hide cross site referrer?

I'm at a loss. I set myself a Referer Control https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/referer-... in the hope of hiding the ref from the site. It seems to be hidden, but half. 5 minutes puzzled, thinking what the garbage. I did not believe in this version until I rechecked it.
When you go directly through the line in the browser, the ref is hidden. When you follow links within a domain, the site receives data.
Is it about expansion?

Remove the 3rd button in the extension.
p.s. Keep in mind that some sites (predominantly HTTPS) may break if HTTP Referer is not passed within the site (eg Toaster).
