How to handle click in Leaflet through layers and objects?

Started working with Leaflet, no complaints, everything is great, but there is one problem: I do not understand how to work out a click on overlapping layers. In general, the situation is this: there are many layer groups (i.e. L.Control.Layers), in which there are many LayerGroup, which already consist of non-rectangular objects. I would like to understand, depending on the checkboxes placed in L.Control.Layers, on click, which objects I got into in this way (I repeat: even if they overlap, that is, you need to hit through all the layers up to the map itself).
Intuitively I understand that the question is banal, but no matter how hard I tried, I did not find the answer.
