How to grow into a manager?

Actually a subject. I want to grow from an engineer into a manager in the future.
What "soft" skills to develop?
What can you do at work to start looking in this vein?
What literature should be studied?
And what should be added to the resume so that they look not as an engineer, but as a manager?

Learn the control system. get an understanding about business processes. It's minimum .
Good knowledge of psychology and HR competence will help.

I will join Puma and add: look at the world through the eyes of a manager, think about what can be changed / improved / simplified - take initiatives. Lead by example and mentor less experienced colleagues so they see you as a leader.
