man sudoers
visudo and read the comments carefully. Believe it or not, it's all there.
And yes, I do not recommend editing the sudoers file not through visudo. visudo checks the syntax and prevents you from writing the wrong file. And if you fix it and it becomes wrong, sudo will break completely
