How to give read and write permissions to google chrome?

When launching google chrome v40 on ubuntu 14.04, an error pops up in several windows "Your profile could not be loaded correctly. Some functions may not be available. Make sure your profile exists and you have permissions to read and write operations.".
Tell me what rights to give /opt/google/chrome ?
It stands there: drwxr-xr-x

What does /opt/google/chrome have to do with it - is your profile there? The problematic place is somewhere in ~/
