How to give access to a folder to a group of users?
Hello. I need to give a person access to one of my folders on Ubuntu (VPS).
I created a group, created a user, added the user to this group, added the group to the folder.
When authorizing on behalf of the created user, I try to cd into this folder:
Outputs:
I did not add a group to the /root and /root/dir folders themselves. Maybe this is the issue?
I need to give access to target_dir.
How to be? $ cd /root/dir/target_dir
-sh: 7: cd: can't cd to /root/dir/target_dir
