How to get whois information?

Goal: 100-200 requests per minute.
Free or minimal.
I looked for api - there are either few requests for all, or fabulous prices.
Are there any good options?
Another question arose - where do these services like 2ip.ru (.ua) and just various whois checkers come from. Where does whois information come from, can you get it yourself?

In the Linux console, just type whois example.comand it will show you everything you need
