How to get volume level?

Good afternoon, how can I get the volume level in debian through bash?
It is the volume of the sound that interests me and not the location of the slider (I know it, always 100).

I found this option https://github.com/GeorgeFilipkin/pulsemixer , but it takes the volume from PulseAudio.

and you instantaneous, average or root-mean-square value of sound amplitude?? or just loud and quiet :)
