How to get started with Joomla Banners extension?

We want to create a banner rotator to display several active promotions on the site. For these purposes, the standard CMS Joomla 2.5 "Banners" extension is ideal, but it [extension] is not displayed in the "Components" menu in the control panel. What could be the problem and how to solve it?

Create a banner category, then the client, after the banner itself.
In general, it's easier to shove the html block.

You don't need the built-in Banners component to display your banners. You need a slider like this one . There is a cropped free version, the functionality of which will be enough for you.
