How to get started freelancing?

Good day! I recently completed my secondary education as a programmer. During my training, I especially liked the development of websites, but after listening to many people who have been working in this field for a long time, I concluded that it is better to start a career with freelancing, because without work experience they don’t take them to good companies, and even the desire to work is not for uncle, but on freelance) Tell me where to start, which freelance exchanges are good. At the moment I know HTML, CSS, I practiced a little with JS, I was offered to learn PHP, but I chose Node.js, because it is convenient to write both frontend and backend in the same language. From a DBMS, I came across MySql and MongoDB with Mongoose. Also worked with jQuery. What else is worth learning, well, where to start?) Thank you!

Start with Google. There were hundreds of similar questions on the toaster.
Without the ability to use search, you should not do independent work at all, because working for an uncle, an uncle takes a lot of risks - that you will not cope, that you will not find a client, that you will not understand how to use paypal at all and cash out, that you you will not be able to adequately understand how much taxes will be along the way of cashing out and you will remain at zero without food.
In freelancing, the main task is to be able to be INDEPENDENT, and you can’t even start on your own.

IMHO it is better to try to settle down in some office as a jun, in order to gain experience.
And then you can go freelancing. Save yourself a couple of years.
And it’s worth starting with looking through the vacancies and seeing what is required there at least, and as much as possible to resemble interviews, find out what is generally needed and what they ask.

Start by working in an office at some company (no, it doesn't have to be "good"; you'll have to grow and grow to that). Zero freelancer is the way to work for food, at best. At worst, you must stay.

start with the systematization of knowledge and the formation of cv,
choose English-speaking exchanges, for example upwork, for Russians the payment is an order of magnitude lower (literally), the inadequacy of customers is higher and the security of financial relations is lower.

  1. From demand analysis.
  2. Your skills.
  3. And start pumping the skill of management and the seller.

Do you need it? Stooped back, poor eyesight, increased nervousness, the need to push in a huge amount of specific information in a short time (to be afloat). I recommend to score on freelance, on programming and go to study at the factory. Working specialties are needed.
If you are sure that you cannot live without IT, someone Vasily gave a recipe above.
