How to get rid of style in Inkscape?

Why does Inkscape (for example) write properties like fill and stroke to style and not as attributes? Can I force it to write to attributes?
Properties in style take precedence over attributes, so they can be used to interactively change the fill onmouseover-onmouseo , for example.

You can save as "optimized svg" and include "Convert CSS attributes to XML attributes" there
