How to get rid of slow Firefox?

How to get rid of slow Firefox? Slows down with or without reason. This is mainly manifested when several newly opened tabs in the background are loaded - at this time, scrolling on the active tab podkormazhivaet.
All this is sad. I have i7, 8gb ram, ssd.
Chrome, Yandex and Opera work perfectly.
Has anyone else encountered Firefox's sluggishness and solved it successfully?

Allow me to bring up an old but important topic.
Firefox hasn't slowed down at all since version 36 (Now Developer Edition ). You can try to disable the resource-intensive AdBlock and mess with filtering traffic at the firewall level. But it's better to turn off the automatic loading of Flash and other plugins - only on the sites you need. Moreover, since version 36 , HTML5 videos on YouTube are normally played in any size.
Plus, we cut down all unnecessary Firefox extensions - I now have 12 pieces that I need to use every day. Nothing slows down, the speed is at the level of Webkit (and Chrome's blink). The computer is by no means the newest. If the user profile was created before the 30th versions of Firefox, then it is also desirable to recreate it.

I had the same problem, but, unfortunately, this issue was not successfully solved.
I deleted unnecessary plugins, changed the settings a hundred times and nothing helped. I had to switch to Chrome.

No, firefox is very memory and GPU intensive. I don't know where the developers are looking, but I switched to Chrome a few years ago - the developer tools there are also very powerful - you just need to get used to it.

I have i5, 4gb RAM, regular hdd, open tabs ~ 30 all the time. There are no special brakes, at first I tweaked a little about: config.

Firefox has never been very fast :( but I still love it more than other browsers :) for being mega-customizable (sorry for the pun).
I see three options:
1. Speed up the PC programmatically (for example, AuslogicsBoostSpeed \ AdvancedSystemCare \ etc) or hardware (but in your case, I don’t see the need for this).
2. Switch to another, not so cool but faster browser (for example, www.PALEMOON.org )
3. Try to speed up the "Fox" by disabling unnecessary plugins and extensions, as well as enabling extensions that block "extra traffic" such as advertising, flash and etc. (e.g. AdBlock, NoScript, ...)

1. Have you checked with a new empty profile?
2. Post a list of plugins, you can compare. I have the same as Valentin, but i3-2120, and also works perfectly, did not optimize anything.
3. The problem may be in the video card. Try turning off video acceleration .

I have AMD E2 1800+, 6gb RAM, hdd, windows 8.1, the problem manifested itself strongly on 64-bit Nightly, on the 32-bit stable version there are no such problems
