How to get rid of empty space under letters in Photoshop CC 2017?

Hello everyone, how do I get rid of the empty space under the letters in Photoshop CC 2017 ? Because of it, I can’t align the text normally with respect to other elements. Here is a screenshot of Photoshop itself, highlighted this empty space in red.

I recommend writing "y200q" - then it will become clear that this is not an empty space -)
For completeness, you can also write "__y200Ã__"
