How to get rid of "black" statuses in Skype?

This is what appears with a friend on Skype, black status icons.
(I don’t know, by the way, why she decided to take a picture, and not take a screenshot)

We tried to reinstall Skype, reboot, etc., etc.
What else could there be? How to decide?
Thank you!

Windows XP, IE open.
Be glad that "black icons" are all problems on this computer.

Found the reason. There is no answer on this topic on the Internet. In Windows XP, click Start - Control Panel - Ease of Access - Display tab - uncheck High Contrast - OK button
