How to get rid of 504 error when creating table via phppgadmin?

Good afternoon everyone.
Simple table creation script done via phppgadmin,
CREATE TABLE public.table
(
id INT PRIMARY KEY NOT NULL,
);
runs for about 5 minutes, after which phppgadmin throws a 504 error. What could be causing this behavior? PostgreSQL 9.3.15
