How to get rid of "404 Not Found" errors when doing apt-get update?

Kubuntu 14.04
After installing MiniDLNA from sources, errors appeared when running apt-get update:

Because of this, I cannot install dependent libraries and Ruby through RVM.

look at the rep list files and remove the ones giving 404

cd /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
ls
less xxxx.list
sudo rm xxxx.list
