How to get remote access to Windows 10?
There is a remote machine (a regular desktop connected to a home provider) with Windows 10, and there is an Ubuntu 16.04 machine. How to set up remote access to Windows from Ubuntu? What settings are needed, where to get the IP, what password (it is not on Windows, as well as a separate user), and so on? This is some kind of madness, because for half an hour in Google I did not find the answer to a single question. 90% of the links for 20 requests that I tried are about how to install Ubuntu with Windows together (great Google relevance!), The remaining 10% are about setting up remote access over a local network. Is my question too rare lol?

If you don't bother, then teamviewer.
And so if it is possible to forward the port: RDP, VNC
See what goals you are pursuing. If you connect once - teamviewer.
If you need to connect constantly - remote desktop. It needs a white ip. Add a user to the "Remote Desktop Users" group, open port 3389 on the router (it's safer to change it in the registry to another one) and connect from ubuntu via Remmina or freeRDP. If there is no white ip, then a VPN can help out
For rare use - TeamViewer, if something more permanent - then white IP and RDP or VNC with port forwarding on the router. For all cases, authorization is configured on the side of the remote access server - in this case, this is a Windows computer, of course, it can be locally logged in without a password.
