How to get proprietary nvidia driver to work with ultra wide monitor?

A working laptop with debian 10 and a GK107GLM [Quadro K2000M] card
worked with the free nouveau driver
But lately I use Zoom a lot for video conferencing and it happens that nouveau can't cope
Installed the driver from the sudo apt install nvidia-driver
repository Everything started but there was a problem with the external monitor LG
resolution 2560*1080 is missing, only 1920*1080

How to make it work with native resolution?

You can add permissions via xrandr. Look in the manual or google:

xrandr --newmode
xrandr --addmode

In this situation, apparently, only custom EDID may help to solve the problem.
