How to get paid by the hour on UpWork without a time tracker?
I received a job request. It was a meeting. They said they would pay $50 through UpWork. But the offer itself was with an hourly rate and there was an amount of 18 dollars / hour. As I understand it, the client just registered himself and said to either make a request, or end the contract, so that he would receive an email with a request for payment of $50. How to do it? I don’t have a time tracker and for some reason it’s not downloading at the moment.
Yeah, I'm a newbie myself, so I don't know much.
i added 2h40min manual time, but how do i make sure i get paid for this time if i click "complete contract", the amount is automatically generated?

You have 2 options:
1. Manually pledge so much time that it comes out to just $50. At $18/hour, it's 2:50. Only possible if you have the Manual Hours option enabled.
2. The client himself can send payment for any amount at any time. It has such an option in the interface.
As I understand it, he wanted a milestone with a request for payment.
But this is not available on hourly contracts.
Also, the client can simply send 50 bucks as a premium under the contract.
In this case, I would write to the client as diplomatically as possible, saying that such an option is not available in this contract. and you have 2 options.
