How to get Java development practice further on Android?
Hello, I am married for 34 years and have children. Since 2003 (already 12 years old) I have been working as a 1c programmer. education is not specialized, secondary special medical, higher bachelor of law. 1c is already rather tired, very primitive, income growth has decreased, the industry is entirely dependent on the state of the Russian economy, etc.
I decided to try to smoothly switch to Android developers. I'm currently learning Java, in the future I will switch directly to Android. This year, I successfully prepared and passed the exams for the magistracy at the correspondence department at MIREA (I scored 83 points out of 100, but there were not enough points for the budget) in the direction of Applied Informatics.
The question is how to remotely gain experience in Java? And in the next on Android? I remember from the experience of studying 1s that it is not very effective to set tasks for myself. Some get experience through "open source" but where to look for such projects, how to get there?

couldn't you just start with a question? who is interested in your biography? O_O
there are a lot of resources for both free and paid training in Android programming, the same startandroid.ru recruits people for a course on Android programming, writing a real project.
Look for the devil, there have already been hundreds of such questions!
After understanding the syntax and features of the language, look directly into Android. It is slightly different and has many nuances in its soul.
To gain experience, write some simple application of your own and put it on the market, the source code of this application can greatly help you when applying for a job. In addition, when you feel confident in your abilities, I recommend that you look for a local client for a mobile application (father / brother / matchmaker).
Or if you are confident, look towards Upwork, there already agree to work at least for food for the sake of the first review. Further it will be easier. But to use this tool, you need knowledge of basic English, although free communication will give a boost in communication with customers, they are more willing to make contact with English speakers.
