How to get and store part of a string from a site link?

There is a site where the news is posted. I need to remember the id from the latest news link and when posting a new post, compare it with the saved one, if it is + 1, then save it and send it to the telegram bot accordingly. If someone can help, then tell me with checking the id and saving it.
