How to get a Microsoft certification?
The thought struck me to document my skills as a developer, and I decided to get certificates, say Microsoft.
Without suffering for a long time, I wandered into www.microsoft.com/learning/ru/ru/default.aspx , and ... that was the end of it. The second day I'm constantly trying to understand how these certificates are obtained in general. The main problem arises when trying to correlate the exam codes on the MS website with the codes on the sites (oh my God, how can such poor sites be made!?) of Authorized Training Centers, as well as when trying to correlate the hierarchy of certificates with what they write on these same sites.
Does anyone have experience with these certificates of theirs? In general, is the process realistic - signing up ONLY for an exam that you definitely pass, gaining a basis and after that signing up for something really serious?
And in general, if there are people in the subject, how is the process going? It seems to me that I don’t understand something, but the first impression of all these centers and the organization of information is all some kind of garbage.

I will describe the sequence of actions for obtaining a certificate:
1. Select the exam that we want to pass. To do this, go here , select a technology and look at it for exams with the MCTS type for a start. For example, MCTS on .NET 4.0 WEB: 70-515 . As a rule, they all start with 70.
2. If we take at least two exams, it makes sense to have a discount voucher and a free second attempt here .
3. We go to the site of the prometric , register and do Schedule an exam. We enter all the information, choose where we will rent and how much (more on this below), pay by credit card. In the case of a voucher, you will have to pay for the entire voucher at once, all subsequent orders will be free.
4. Preparing hard, bot and all that. Official books and courses will be on the exam page from point 1.
5. We go to the exam, take two documents (passport and driving license, for example), pass.
6. Having passed all MCTS, we pass the MCPD technology exam.
I can say about the following prometric centers in Moscow:
— KUDITS-Obraz (Kaluzhskaya), right next to the metro, they work until late, so you can sign up for seven-thirty past seven in the evening after work (and be another half an hour late :))
— PC Ware Academy (Novoslobodskaya) , are convenient in that one of the few work on Saturday, but once they threw me with change (no one was in the office).
- INC ETC SAMAN (SAMAN MATI) (Taganskaya) also work on Saturday, but the cunning guys cut their hair for an additional 150 rubles. for every change.
As for the UTs "Specialist" - judging by the site, they have a price for the same 70-515 - 2070r, and according to the prometric voucher it will be 1100r. The guys are doing well too.
Registering normally for MS exams is already part of the test, not very stubborn ones are eliminated at this moment)
Choose an exam on the MS website. In the same place on the site there is detailed information about which exams give which statuses. Then just order the necessary exams in certification centers by numbers.
This is if you want to prepare yourself.
At the moment I'm on the MS exam path, but only as an admin. Exam codes and study course codes are different. Very often, 1 exam may include more than one course. I looked at the website of the Specialist Training Center which exams I need to pass to obtain a certain status. I am preparing on my own, I don’t see any difficulties in this, especially not a small experience behind me. Exams can be taken in any order, for example, I swapped exams.
The process of surrender itself is as follows: you are escorted to an office in which CCTV cameras are installed and seated at a PC. At the same time, they ask you to turn off your mobile phone, put it in your bag, and leave your bag at the entrance. Then they open the Prometric website and run the exam for you. You are actually taking the exam. At the same time, they warn that for trying to turn to a neighbor for advice or take a bag, they can be removed from the exam.
At the moment, 3 certificates out of 5 are required, so the status is not yet completed.
You must sign a service contract with your own blood on the full moon. After that, you will have 10 years to try to get a job as an administrator, after which you will go to hell *evil laughter*
Those who participate in DreamSpark, by the way, can take 1 exam for free until June 30th. Also prepare for it by subscribing to PluralSight for free.

based on personal experience and quality, I chose the IT University Training Center, a joint project of the VMK MSU and Softline Academy, is the first authorized Microsoft IT Academy training center in Russia
I would recommend the training center microinform.ru
Our company traditionally uses their services, we can say "corporate choice".
I will not advertise. But this is what is called, "quality, confirmed by time."
Detailed information about certification is available on their website.
If you are only interested in passing the exam - by and large, it does not matter to you which center to apply to. Conditions are the same everywhere.
