How to get a job for a former IP?
Hello! Ask for advice from the professional community. Faced with a situation that 2 years I can not get a job. Prior to that, I had experience in my business online store (6 years). I am 31 now. The business has ceased to generate income and is forced to look for a job, a higher technical education, an engineer, a process control system specialty. Before that, he worked as a process engineer in a design bureau (designed 3D models, created control programs for CNC machines, worked on a machine tool). In the summer, I got a job at the factory - they took me as a turner’s apprentice, but I couldn’t work there, after working for 3 weeks I quit, there was a team of some kind of outcasts and drunks, and not decent people, and besides, when I came home from work, my bathroom turned black from dirt from the workshop and went pimples on the skin due to dirt and constant ringing in the ears due to the fact that the hammer works. I went through many interviews and concluded that at the interview you must be silent that you worked as an individual entrepreneur, otherwise the attitude changes immediately for the worse and a 100% refusal to apply for a job, besides, I can’t go back to where I left, since the skills are lost and I won’t be able to work in production either (so the personnel officer told me that I would no longer be able to work on the machine after my experience). For other jobs, I also don’t fit either by age or by experience (since students are invited to junior IT positions (for example, software tester), or those who have recently graduated) and I don’t fit this age because the skills are lost in fact, even if If I restore them, then who will hire me if they hire former students who already have experience and fresh skills by the end of the university? Now I work part-time as a promoter - I distribute leaflets. The web studio also takes juniors or with experience in digital. I read about the duty of a project manager, but as I understand it, this is the same job as a foreman at a factory, where you receive daily from management, clients, and try to get developers to work so that everything is on time and as it should? Yes, and as I understand it, project managera come from developers and testers and not from individual entrepreneurs, who "riveted" landingos and sites through freelancers to sell goods.? That is, if you start a path at my age, then which one, so that after gaining skills I can quickly get a job, otherwise the skills will simply disappear if they are not used, I don’t want to go to sales, because I think that this is just a consumable for companies, so the same as technical support, you can fire tomorrow and after tomorrow the HRs will bring another 100 people. If there are also failures in software testers, then you can start your journey with development, master some kind of programming language. and also English at a low level - I read and translate with a dictionary. Is there any kind of roadmap how at this age you can start your journey and in what areas of IT? I don’t want to go to an advertising agency, because I was already on the customer’s side and I know how the price is going up there, my conscience will not allow me to sell their services for the development and promotion of sites and contextual advertising, since you can do without them cheaper and better. and for the rest of the invitations, I look at the reviews for one scam all around. They also don’t take pizza deliverymen on national grounds (since Tajiks and Maldovans work there, they only recruit their own,

1) Stop whining. The universe does not owe you anything, but it has enough work and money.
2) Stop looking for a path where you will not encounter difficulties - there is no such path. Even the way to sit on the priest and do nothing - carries with it problems. Take difficulties as lessons for changing yourself.
3) Do not ask others what you should do in life. This is your own task and you need to solve it by delving into yourself, and not on the basis of the criterion of paragraph 2. For excavation itself there are appropriate courses.
I started programming in C# at 30. Just like a hobby.
In addition to his main job (in the energy sector), he passed the Microsoft exam and got a job as a junior in one office.
In 4 years I changed two jobs, passed about 10 more exams, read a bunch of books on architecture. Now I am engaged in writing enterprise systems for large foreign customers. A month ago, I was offered to move to the position of Senior.
I mean, it's never too late to start something new.
The problem you have is that you don't want to do anything to get a good job. Read the vacancy and see the income. The project manager is the manager, the one who keeps track of the deadlines, you say. You are not in the subject of the tasks and competencies of such a person, but you want his salary. It's stupid, childish. Do you think you know how to write code, on what? What do you even know? Maybe a bare language and you can write matrices and their calculation, but tell you to do a simple ui with a couple of actions and you will be blown away. This is probably the only reason why you will be rejected.
Based on your answer, I would definitely not offer you a job, change as soon as possible.
No one will give a 100% solution, just as no one will tell you about the right way. I advise you to decide on personal goals, break it down into sub-goals and move on .. I tried with the plant, it didn’t work out - move on. Remember that not everyone can be programmers, lawyers and businessmen - you can prepare drinks in bars, fix cars, lay tiles, teach and help people .. and much more .. Open a site with vacancies, study, and start changing everything in life! !! Think about the fact that maybe it's time to change the environment (close people, habits) ..
In any case, start with yourself! 30 years for such a depression is too little. And sorry, but I don’t believe that in a couple of years of active search, you haven’t come up with anything - most likely you just don’t finish it, or underestimate yourself. Well, or you decide for others what you should not decide for them ..
I think the most important thing is that you need to write here: Bro, we are with you, don't give up, everything will work out! :)
Really, don't give up, set goals for yourself and achieve them!!!!
If I were you, I would by all means start building a career as a developer. There are prerequisites for this, the efforts made will pay off many times over. Yes, you have to start from the bottom. We'll have to be patient, to compete with the young. Initially, the salary will be small. But all this can be experienced if you know where and why you are going.
At one time he himself retrained from an electrician. True, when he got a permanent job as a developer, he was younger - 27 years old. But initially I didn’t have natural inclinations for programming - in computer science at school I had enough deuces and triples. At the technical school, programming was taught formally. I had to break myself, long and hard to educate myself ...
In the end, everything worked out, I got on this path
You have some kind of fever. You owned IT, then factory to shop floor, then IT, then flyers. You decide.
Want to IT? Please - 31 years old, it's too early to put a coffin lid at the door. Want to visit a factory? Well, you have to be physically and mentally ready to work hard.
"Here is June, he is after the institute, he is fine." Yes, right now. After college, not everyone is great. So you can easily compete if you present yourself correctly.
The same situation. I am doing my own project - this, it seems to me, is the most reasonable thing in this situation.
It is worth thinking and finally choosing who you want to work, because such a spread in the profession looks at least strange. Choose a business for yourself and work, but for now work at a factory, and in your free time study figuratively speaking, especially since there is no family yet.
Your only problem is that you think that 31 years is all. But how. For yourself, you must first understand that you can work with brains in IT even at 60. The main thing is that you yourself are well versed in everything.
I am IP. I work, run my own small web studio. In terms of skills - I think that I can do half of the specialists from the larger offices. Maybe you should try yourself on the Web, but please, work with high quality, and not like many others.
In addition to the previous one (@vshvydky):
If you look for a way out, sitting on the fifth point of Claudia, setting out the reasons why you have already lost to all students, then students will be preferred to you.
You either have zero motivation or by the age of 31 you have earned so many prejudices that PPC, there people are becoming 50 juns and you are already ... * thanks for the question that makes you think *
There are also CNC machines, and I have never seen that the workers who use them are grimy)))
And you even have experience somehow related to CNC ...
Why don't you train as a CNC machine operator?
But of course it's up to you to choose who to be, especially with your experience...
It's strange that you're out of a job.
For the sake of Anteresu, I would like to look at your resume. As the people above write, you are some kind of indefinite, probably the standard situation is a family, a loan, a mortgage.
I don’t know what direction your process control system is, but IMHO it’s much closer to us, weak power, and not to IT. What kind of goods were sold in the online store?

From myself, I can add the following - go to the doctor, take a prescription for antidepressants and drink a course. Approximately half of your apathy will be removed, and then the main thing is not to sit still, but to move, and in all possible senses of the word.
The TS tells the truth, after the IP at interviews for technical positions it is better not to talk about him. This was confirmed by my own experience and by the experience of friends. It's better to just say that he worked without labor.
Read the biography of Henry Ford.
The dude worked in a successful company at that time and at the age of 40 went "into space", i.e. going nowhere. He clearly knew what he wanted to get. As a result, Ford is now one of the famous companies. If anything, he is credited with the authorship of the words "If I had listened to the users, I would have made a more comfortable carriage, but I gave them much more." Do you feel? This man is so LOADED that the fuck will stop him! He went against the system and managed to convince the majority that the usual old means of carriage is no longer ice. And it is very difficult to go against the opinion of the majority! It is possible when a person clearly understands where to move.
You have no motivation! When it appears, then the question of what and how to do will not appear!
It’s interesting, of course ... That is, you are selling Chinese fakes to suckers, writing stories about some copies there. And is this normal? You consider yourself a decent person and you probably have not heard about the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. And conscience does not allow in an advertising agency? Maybe this is such a marketing call to post a link to the Toaster? Well then, yes, I give you a standing ovation! :)

I advise you to read smart books on Python. It is simple, understandable for beginners and very powerful. Plus, there are a lot of vacancies both remotely and in offices. In parallel, you can look at Django and web development.
Or, as an option, mobile development and games on html 5 ... But these are just ideas! ..
