I would like to know how to get a job as an information security consultant in an audit firm. A little about my skills: since the age of 18 I have been registered as an information security administrator, I have experience in preparing documentation for 152-FZ on the protection of personal data, documentation based on orders from the FSTEC, the FSB, and decrees of the Government of the Russian Federation. Experience in administering the Kaspersky server and Blockhost SZI. Installation of CIPF cryptopro, cryptoarm, plugins for browsers for working with crypto, setting up an EDS using the above programs. Maintaining various types of IS logs. Those were the positives. Cons: In my organization, outsourcers now administer OSes. Our rights in AD have been cut, you can only look, but not touch. As a result, I began to lose the skill of administering Windows - similar to server OSes. For the most part I am engaged in paper (not particularly necessary) security. No Linux administration experience. There are no crusts for 502 hours and specialized education in the direction of IS. The search for vulnerabilities in OSes is carried out by another organization, my function is to analyze the report and try to implement the recommendation to close the vulnerability through a request to outsourcers. I feel outside of my organization my skills are not in demand.
Somehow I was told that with my skills you can try as an information security consultant in an audit firm, but they didn’t say how to prepare for this and what you still need to know. I would like to know how to get a job as an information security consultant (preferably remotely).

I did this when I was an enikey manager and the only system administrator in the office. It is unlikely that with such a background you can count on something.
