How to forward mail as an EML attachment in OS X Mail?

In Thunderbird and Outlook: I am editing an email and you can drag and drop other emails into this new email and they will be inserted as EML files. This is very convenient if you need to refer to past correspondence, or if you need to refer to several letters at once.

Recently moved to a Mac, I was surprised that the built-in Mail client lacks support for forwarding mail as an attachment. Mail can be dragged, but it is inserted as text (raw mail).

OS X 10.9, Mail 7.0 (1816)

This is a glitch in the mail program. When editing EML, attachments do not open in a letter, but if sent, they will open normally for the recipient.

At me dragged in a window of editing of a new letter from the list of letters. Inserted as an attachment. But there is a nuance - it only works if I drag and drop one letter. If more, nothing happens. Version 7.0 (1822)
