The supervisor suggested the following topic: Optimizing the physical storage of tables in the Teradata DBMS . Important: the topic must be related to Teradata (parallel relational DBMS). But such a topic is very vague, and does not imply a specific task. I can't understand the problem itself and the problem that needs to be solved. After all, the essence of the diploma cannot be reduced to the arrangement of indices and the subsequent analysis of what and how it affects (this is already written in the documentation). Topics on the Internet on databases are reduced to the development of some kind of database system, which is of no interest.
I would really appreciate any of your ideas.
