How to format a virtual hard disk?
Hello. The essence of the question is as follows: there is a pc of wines 10 pro, on it you need to raise the virtual machine in any way, whether it be a hyper or virtual box, the main thing is Schaub for free :)
It would seem that it could be easier, but it wasn’t there. I tried to raise it on hyper, but everything came up against the creation of a virtual hard disk. When you try to format, a notification appears stating that Windows could not format the disk, and the disk itself, meanwhile, goes into RAW.
It’s still more interesting on the WB: it gives you a chance to boot from something, but at the beginning of the boot in the virtual machine, a kernel panic error occurs. I tried to slip a ready virtual machine, the same nonsense. I just do not know where to dig, can someone tell me?
ps It turned out that disk management is completely impossible: there is free space, but the system simply does not allow it to be attached to the disk. Connoisseurs, all hope is on you

Hyper-v is as simple as 3 kopecks. Create a virtual menu in the menu, then the wizard will ask you to specify where to store the disk, then mount the dvd image and install from it. If you need access to the virtual screw, then go to the disk management snap-in, select this file, then you can format it using OS tools
