How to force windows 7 to start updating already?

Win 7 has never been updated since installation. It's been a long time. Subsequent attempts to update via the Update Center resulted in only one result: 80070002. An unknown Wibdows Update error occurred.
I googled a lot on this subject and tried many different things. It all boils down to something like this: the vast majority of attempts to update manually through packages end up with an "update is not applicable to this computer" error before it starts. As I understand it, the problem is that the installation of a certain update requires a previous update. How to go through this chain from the very beginning? How to install all required windows 7 updates?

When trying to install this update

I get the same error "the update is not applicable to this computer"

About reinstalling Windows.
I ask you to speak on the merits, or not to speak. Not answer.mail.ru after all.

1. Install from the original Microsoft image
2. Buy a license and activate
3 Update.
4. In case of problems with updates, ask for technical support from Microsoft
5. ....
6. PROFIT!

They will instruct Vasyan's ZverCD builds, with a bunch of Trojans inside in addition, and then they wonder why something doesn't work.

write the details: is sp1 installed, from which image the OS was installed - the original image or build, how it was activated - with the key / kms / bios slic or through the loader or wga destroyer (for example, chew wga)
download the version with bitness suitable for the running system - if you have x86 (32 bit) then download www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/search.aspx?q=kb3... just "Update for Windows 7 (KB3125574) "
if 64 bit - download "Update for Windows 7 for systems based on x64 processors (KB3125574)"
it has conditions - SP1 must be installed and https://support.microsoft.com/ru-ru/help/3172605/j ...
0 stop the update service, delete the softwaredistribution folder. make sure that the date on the computer is correct and the time is more or less accurately set (accurate to a couple of minutes) https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/910336/wi...

do not try to look for updates if you have started - stop the update service, delete the softwaredistribution folder.
2 if the troubleshooter found but could not fix the errors - insert the disk / flash drive with the windows installation files (the letter of the drive / flash drive must be the same as during installation, the bit depth of the installation files must match the running system) and run sfc.exe /scannow https ://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/us...
do not try to look for updates, if you have started - stop the update service, delete the softwaredistribution folder.
3 if sp1 is not installed yet - stop the update service (do not change its startup type, it should be automatic) install and reboothttps://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.a...
installation will take a long time.
do not try to look for updates if you have started - stop the update service, delete the softwaredistribution folder.
4 Stop the update service and install https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.a... / https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.a.. reboot
now you can search, but in general it will be faster to install several packages manually, because the search will still take 20-30 minutes .
5 stop the update service and install https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3020369/a... reboot

7 stop the update service and install
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3125574/c.. - > www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/search.aspx?q=kb3... reboot
installation will take a long time
8 stop update service and install https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/ 3177467/s... ,-2016 reboot
9 stop the update service and install https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.a... reboot
10 stop the update service and install https://support .microsoft.com/en-us/help/3212646/j... reboot
11 in the windows update settings, select automatic search and download updates. now you can run a search for updates, it will find a few updates, after that it will search and install updates normally. if auto-search is disabled, then after some time (a couple of months), when trying to manually search for updates, the processor load may become 100% - stop the update service, delete the softwaredistribution folder, repeat the search, it will take a long time, at least 15 minutes.
if there are errors, sfc didn't fix them and you don't want to reinstall windows - you can try to install all updates using download.wsusoffline.net but the update service may still fail.
