How to force the browser to open the domain "site" and not "site."?
I am setting up a network on OpenVPN, raised bind9, I would like to have domains like site, stat, box inside the network. Configured, apparently, zones correctly nslookup finds recorded IP addresses without any problems. Now I ran into a problem, the browser, as well as ping, do not accept domains without a dot at the end at all. How to be? The work is meant from different machines, so there is no reason to seriously change the settings of these machines.

I solved the problem by adding my own DNS suffix "." to the TCP / IPv4 parameters.
on Unix there is a resolv.conf file where the
domain mydomain.tld parameter is specified,
then both ping site and ping site.mydomain.tld return the same answer
. You need to find where there is a similar one in Windows
