How to force Firefox to save bookmarks by default to the right folder?

When you save a bookmark, Firefox adds it to unfiltered (other) bookmarks. To immediately save it to the right place (for example, in the menu), you need to press the asterisk twice and select the folder each time, which is no good.
How to be? Add-ons? About:config?
