How to force Firefox to refresh pages on F5?

Firefox does not want to update the pages of some sites, probably even most sites on . It also does not update when clicking on the button with a circular arrow in the context menu and on a similar button at the end of the address bar.
I tried to disable all the plugins - and I only have a couple of them there, in addition to those that are preinstalled - it did not help.
You have to poke the mouse into the address bar and press on the keyboard - then it only updates.
Does anyone know how to overcome this?
