How to fix the situation after transferring the site to local hosting?

I uploaded the content of the site from the hosting to the local MAMP server and then uploaded the database in the configuration file, changed the root of the database and the password and the path to the logging files, after which I can’t start the site, it gives an error. This site cannot provide a secure connectionThe localhost site sent an invalid response.

You need to change the ssl certificate. For local development, a self-signed one is suitable, here is a guide: https://letsencrypt.org/en/docs/certificates-for-l...

At the root in the configuration.php file , the $force_ssl variable is set to 0, check $host , it may not be localhost . In the .htaccess
file , make sure that there is no redirect to https (you can copy this file somewhere separately and rename the htaccess file at the root. txt there are settings out of the box) And the last step in the address bar of the browser is to clearly enter http: // site

To transfer, use Akeeba, create an archive on the hosting, and when transferring to LAN, poke the necessary checkboxes, there the transfer takes only 5 clicks, otherwise you probably won’t be able to master the correct advice that you are given here, but everything is simply in graphical form, without these " admin "things))
