How to fix poor sensitivity of Sony ecm 909a stereo microphone?

Hello! There is such a microphone available
bqb4vyynz9r7vni1x5vg.jpg
When connected to a phone and a laptop, there is a low sensitivity of the microphone, software amplification is not suitable, as the noise increases and the voice is distorted.
This microphone is powered by a 1.5 volt battery. Perhaps this microphone needs to be used with a record or other device?
The fact is that the phone and laptop give out power to the microphone, but how does the microphone work on batteries, does it need this power?
This is a rather old microphone, I read the reviews, they write about the excellent sound, and good sensitivity, but I somehow get the opposite.

The problem with connecting this microphone to a computer is that the microphone input of the sound card is mono, but this microphone is stereo. It must be connected to the line input.

can't tell without a diagram.
as an option, carefully disassemble, clean from dust, wipe the contacts, check the cable's performance. but this "pissing"
power from a laptop is, in principle, quite possible, but you need to restore / find the circuit and think about it.
By the way, it is quite possible that the parameters of the microphone output and the laptop input do not match.
