How to fix an error with Outlook 2013 when connecting to a server via IMAP?
Hello!
Someone may have encountered the problem of setting up Outlook 2013.
The bottom line is this: I configure
everything as it should be:
mail
name
IMAP account type
Incoming mail server imap.yandex.ru
Outgoing mail server smpt.yandex.ru
User: login before the "@" sign
Password is correct (checked through several browsers)
IMAP server - 993 ssl encryption
SMTP server - 465 ssl encryption
In general, everything seems to be correct, but there are a couple of points:
1) The "Check account" button is not active
2) when you go to the next step (click "Next") Outlook constantly asks for a password (a window pops up with password confirmation)and as a result:
1) Login to the incoming mail server (IMAP): The connection to the server was interrupted. If the error persists, contact your server administrator or ISP.
2) Sending a test email: Unable to send email. Check your email address in your account properties. Server response: 553 5.7.1 Sender address rejected: not owned by auth user.
Sometimes, a test letter leaves and I see it on the server in yandex, but the connection never works.
