How to fix an error when installing Electron?

After installing Electron in the project directory with npm install electronand trying to run the application with electron ./main.js, the terminal outputs the following:
electron: команда не найдена
I rummaged through various forums but did not find anything on this issue. Global installation doesn't help either.
