How to fix a monitor?
I have an LG W2043S monitor.
For the last month, it has been a little junk with me: as soon as I turned it on, it blinked a little, that is, the brightness of the image changed sharply and chaotically for a minute after it was turned on.
The day before yesterday, he completely glued the fins together: after turning it on, it works for a few seconds, after a while it goes out. If you turn it off and on again, the situation repeats.
People who understand this, please tell me what kind of breakdown this could be and can it be fixed by myself?

Most likely the capacitors in the PSU. Inspect visually.
It’s cheaper to replace it yourself, we charge 200-300 UAH for such a “repair”
When this was observed on my monitor, the backlight was dead. It became clear when it was taken out - one end turned black. The easiest way to fix it is to send it in for repair.
In my case, I manually replaced both backlight lamps (including one “working” one - they do not work individually) with an LED strip of the same length.
Cons:
- I didn’t bother with auto-off - now the monitor is constantly “on”, even if there is no signal.
- The backlight turned out to be quite bright, but the brightness is not adjustable.
If desired, this can also be corrected, especially if there is a diagram on the internet.
However, it's easier to take it in for repair or buy a new one :)
As a rule, the symptoms described relate to the "drying out" of the electrolytic capacitors in the monitor matrix inverter. The easiest way for a non-specialist is to stupidly change all such capacitors in the inverter to new ones, there are usually 10-20 of them there. On the market, such a set of capacitors will cost a couple of dollars.
Well, if you want to fix it yourself, unwind it for a start and inspect everything.
Today I repaired the monitor according to this manual: 17 "TFT: from the trash to the table . The most difficult thing was to remove the frame, then everything was much easier. If there is no guarantee, then at least I would visually try to find the cause of the malfunction by disassembling the monitor. to the service you can always take it.
I just had a similar problem. It was no longer a pity for him, either. stood for a home server and rarely turned on. But over the weekend I sat down, googled and fixed it. this article helped - payaem.ru/kak-pochinit-zhk-monitor-lg.html
If it doesn't help, then here these guys have an article on lighting - payaem.ru/kak-otremontirovat-podsvetku-zhk-monitor. ..
