How to find out the speed of the Internet from the admin panel of the router?

archer c6v2 router, there is only wifi access. You need to know the speed of the Internet on it. using speedtest fails, because the speed rests on 250mb / s (maximum over wifi).

Well, you can find out the connection on the WAN port. It will be either 100 or 1000
There is no built-in speedtest in my opinion ...

regular firmware can’t do anything similar, if you know the ssh password, you can upload something there and run it (some wget / curl or banal netcat, it’s easier to compile it) and download some large file from the outside to measure the time It’s
better to install opwnwrt on the router and there, choose any utilities, a full-fledged OS with a package manager, all sorts of curl or iperf are there

So be it, I will tell you one secret method that is available only to hackers. And so ... watch your hands:
1. We approach the router
2. We take out the wire
3. We stick it into the laptop
4. We check the speed
But the main thing here is not to die of joy in time, because you will not be able to measure the speed even in this way. In fact, you will get the speed to the nearest provider node, where a transparent speedtest proxy server is installed, which allows you to get the speed declared in the tariff.
And if you are interested in real speed, then plug the cable back into the router and turn on the soft kit to test the network and collect wifi statistics. Because no one cares that the same vaunted 5G gives out over a million bits / s if the speed on their phones is 1 Mbps.
