If there are no incoming links to A, and earlier this page was often visited by Google crawler, then a month later it can be deleted. But what prevented you from redirecting from A to B? I would advise leaving the redirect forever.
In the Yandex Webmaster panel, from time to time I observe how Yandex walks through pages from which there has been a redirect for several years.
